November 2008 at Jindabyne Equestrian Resort. Lessons $75.00

NEWS FLASH!!!
Well it’s
the end of October and we have held our first dressage competition
for the season. Thank you to all the riders and helpers, it is
great to see a few new faces in the crowd, so welcome to Emily
Neilson and Emma Povey. Thank you also to JER for having us at
short notice as we changed the venue from Cooma Showground due to
the Circus being in town. I don’t think the horses would have liked
the Elephants and Lions too much.
AGM - This has been held and Belinda Macintosh is
our President again, thank you Belinda. The minutes will be on the
website once the retiring Secretary has time to get them done.
There were a few new faces at the meeting and thanks the John and
Jackie Flower and Bob Leech we have a few keen Show Jump riders in
our midst who are happy to help organise a few training days and
hopefully instruction and competitions into the future.
NEXT RALLY DAY - With the help of John and Bob,
the next rally is scheduled for November 9th at Cooma
Pony Club. There will be jump training with ‘the boys’ from Cross
Rails to about 90cm plus for those that do not want to jump we will
have some fun with novelties, dressage tests, flat work, drill
…..whatever you would like to do! Once again these are great days
for novice/nervous or non-competitive riders who would like to spend
some time with other horsy people. We are very friendly.
John and Bob would like to organise Grant Hughes from Canberra to
come and give a weekends instruction in the future so if you are
interested in this then come along, show them what level you are at
so that when Grant comes to instruct you can be graded into the
correct level.
The fee for the rally day will be $20 and if you are not a member of
the MEA there will also be a $20 insurance fee for the day. Start
time 9am for set up, bring your own lunch, tea and coffee will be
available on the day. You can join MEA on the day or go to
www.mea.net.au and download entry form before hand if you
prefer. Please email
snowycamping@coomatown.com.au to let me know if you are going to
attend the rally on the 9th November.

The Monaro Equestrian Association is a riding club that was
established over 20 years ago by a handful of volunteers who
felt a need for an equestrian club in the Monaro district. Our
Club has now grown to over 65 members who live in the Monaro,
Snowy Mountains, Canberra and surrounding districts. Our aim is
to provide a variety of equestrian events which includes
dressage competitions, combined training days, horsemanship
clinics, judges clinics and protocol days for our members, and
non-members who want to enjoy what we have to offer. So come
along to one of our friendly competitions and join in the fun!
